L'Arc~en~Ciel is one of the greatest JRock bands out there! The band consists of Hyde:lead vocal, Tetsu:bassist & backing vocal, Yukihiro:drums and percussions, and Ken:lead guitar.
L'Arc~en~Ciel started back in 1991 when Tetsu asked Hyde to join the band. Hyde and Tetsu have been with L'Arc~en~Ciel since the beginning the band has been through one guitarist and two drummers. Ken joined the band when their first guitarist(name unknown) quit in 92 along with their first drummer Pero. Their second drummer Sakura joined at the same time as Ken. Sakura was with the band up until 97 when he was arrested he retired from the band after that. Yukihiro joined them temporally in 97 then officially in 98.
On July 31, 2004 L`Arc~en~Ciel played their first American concert in Baltimore as a part of their SMILE tour and as part of the Otakon Convetion. The next year they released another album called AWAKE. Following the AWAKE tour the band took a break then HYDE, Ken, and Yukihiro released their own album or single. HYDE released the album FAITH, Ken released the single Speed, and Yukihiro with his side band Acid Android released Purification. In 2006 the band celebrated their 15th anniversary by playing two shows in the Tokyo Dome called "L'Anniversary". In 2007 they released another album called KISS. From then they have released two singles: DRINK IT DOWN and NEXUS 4/ Shine.
